Los Sylvanian Families son adorables. Adoro ver cuentas japonesas donde visten a sus pequeños Sylvanian con ropas de samurái, de geisha, de conductor de tren y hasta de salaryman. Me llena de inspiración ver el amor hacia la cultura japonesa representada en esas hermosas fotografías. Pero siempre me pregunto, ¿cómo se verían adaptando roles mexicanos?

Este es un breve compilado de ilustraciones realizadas por mí, donde imagino a los Sylvanian Families en México, en lo cotidiano de lo que me rodea como habitante del Estado de México: vacunándose contra la influenza en el DIF, comprando en el tianguis, haciendo fila en el IMSS, siendo repartidores, viviendo día a día, sin dejar de lado la ternura.

Espero que te gusten tanto como a mí, y que al colorearlas recuerdes algo bonito de tu pasado o incluso de tu presente y te hagan sonreír un poco.

Sylvanian Families are adorable, I love seeing Japanese Instagram accounts where they dress their little Sylvanians as a samurai, geisha, train conductor and even salaryman outfits. It is very inspirational for me; the love for the representation of Japanese culture with these beautiful photographs. But I always wonder, what would Sylvanian Families look like adapting Mexican roles?

This is just a brief compilation of illustrations made by me, where I imagine Sylvanian Families in Mexico, in the everyday life that surrounds me as a resident of the State of Mexico - getting flu shots at the health center, shopping at street markets, waiting for see a doctor at the IMSS (Mexican Social Security Institute), being delivery workers, living day by day, while maintaining their cuteness.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, and that while coloring them you remember something nice from your childhood, or maybe your present, and they make you smile a little.
